OUR STORY
In the fall of 2012 The Campground began as a gathering place for friends in a Midtown Kansas City backyard shed. With their love for creating and entertaining, Chris and Cristin hosted intimate cocktail parties for both close friends and strangers alike. With the birth of their daughter in 2015, it was decided The Campground would transition from a backyard hangout to a brick and mortar business.
With the loving support of friends, family, Kansas City and beyond, Chris and Cristin were granted the opportunity to execute their dream. In July of 2018, they received the keys to the late and great Genessee Royale Bistro (where they celebrated their wedding rehearsal dinner in 2012), and on December 3rd, 2018, The Campground was open to the public.
The Campground's goal is to bring the spirit of their backyard to you, bring people together over delicious food and drink and to make friends out of strangers. We sincerely thank you for coming in and allowing us all to serve you; and never forget that at The Campground you're always in good company!
